“If you need a Will writing service, a Lasting Power of Attorney, or a grant of Probate, you can be sure of a sensible and practical approach to help you make the right decisions.”
Davis Gregory Probate Department
If a loved one or near relative has died you may need a grant of probate or letters of administration to wind up the estate and release or transfer assets.
Grant of Probate is a formal document issued by the court which formally validates the Will and gives the Executor legal authority to deal with the deceased’s assets and debts and distribute the estate in accordance with the terms of the Will.
Letters of Administration (needed when there is no will) are issued instead to the next of kin of an individual who dies without a Will and gives the administrator legal authority to deal with the deceased’s assets and debts and distribute the estate in accordance with the intestacy rules.
At Davis Gregory Ltd, we have a small dedicated team of probate specialists headed by Simon Greener, Solicitor and Director, and can help you as much or as little as you may need.
