We were privileged recently to work with the trustees of the Estate of Maureen Jones to provide a funding to the Building Circles charity in Cheltenham. This is a charity which provides friendship and support to those with learning difficulties in Gloucestershire.
Last year it emerged that the service had a funding gap of £10,000 and would be forced to close if it did not receive donations to match this. We worked in conjunction with the Maureen Jones Will Trust to donate £10,000 to the charity.
Director Simon Greener said: "I'm thrilled that we have been able to help, they are a very worthy and local charity in an area of health that is often forgotten."
The charity is unique in that it is free of charge, focusing on providing a social platform for anybody with learning disabilities to prevent loneliness and isolation. This donation will sustain the charity over the next few months, however it will require further funding to continue it's fantastic work.
