This short BBC video provides guidance on how to make living at home easier for those with dementia
We often represent clients who are living with or supporting a family member with dementia. This short BBC video provides some helpful examples that can make living at home for longer a real possibility. We have acted for a family whose mother used to be found walking the streets late at night. Their ingenious solution: at the end of the day the carer would place a sign on the inside of the front door which said 'Gentlemen's Toilet' knowing that their mother would never enter a gentlemen's toilet! Please take a moment to watch the video for more tweaks that can support you or your family member in their own home.
