Substantial donation to Battledown Centre

Simon Greener, Director of Davis Gregory represented the Trustees of the BVG Clarke Will Trust at the recent opening of the new playground at Battledown Centre for Children and Families at Harp Hill Cheltenham.  The picture shows Simon with Helen Dodwell, Operations Manager of the Centre at the opening ceremony. 

Davis Gregory have acted for the executors and trustees of the late Mrs Clarke since her death in 2008. Mrs Clarke left her estate on trust for charity.  One of the Trustees saw an article in the Cheltenham Echo of the plans to redevelop the playground at Battledown Centre and asked Simon to meet the centre Manager. This led to a substantial donation so the  Centre could proceed with the project. 

On behalf of the trustees Simon said ‘The trustees were delighted to provide assistance to enable this project to go ahead and to see the happiness this playground would bring to many young people. We are sure Mrs Clarke would have approved of this’. 

The results of the funding can be seen from the photographs below and has brought great joy to the children and other users of the Centre.
